How to Unlock the Ocarina in Scrooms
Follow the verified Ocarina unlock requirements in Scrooms and check the reward before moving on to individual songs.
Finish the opening tutorial, speak to Halden at the Grove camp, use Pay Respects at five different Weathered Statues, then return to Halden for the Ocarina. It is a song tool rather than your catching instrument. The statue checklist below gives the five landmark areas.
The route follows October 2026 PC guides and the launch recording. The exact build is unspecified.
Accept The Next Step at Halden’s camp
After Leo’s tutorial, find the campfire with two tents beside the massive Grove tree. Halden is resting by a log. Talk through his request so Pay respects at the grove statues appears in the tracker.
Five landmarks for the Weathered Statues
Look for stone figures on round pedestals. They hold different instruments and may sit or stand. Approach each and use Pay Respects; walking past it is not the interaction. Use the x/5 tracker to distinguish a new statue from one already counted.

Return at five and accept the Ocarina
At 5/5, follow Return to Halden and finish the reward conversation. The Ocarina becomes available in hotbar slot 5; Magic Melody marks its unlock. A completed statue counter alone is not the reward conversation.
Select the Ocarina to play songs. Homeward Melody uses Left, Down, Up, Left—A, S, W, A on the PC note buttons—and returns you to your set spawn. The inspected recording shows that return at Halden’s camp. Songtreads is a later movement unlock, not an Ocarina purchase.
