Separate the instrument from its collection badge
Sorin’s Last Verse is a later catching instrument associated with Sorin’s Respite. The Last Verse is also the name of the official badge for obtaining it. Neither is the area’s Keeper of the Garden Index badge.
The spelling “Sorin” appears in the item and region names; community transcripts sometimes render it as Soren or Sojourn.
Follow the quest chain in order
- Open Sorin’s RespiteComplete the cavern’s dynamite-wall objective. The creator’s route additionally reports level 39; read the live NPC requirement, because this page does not establish 39 as a permanent rule.
- Complete Ilya’s four-note taskTalk to Ilya and recover all four notes in the garden. The second original route shows the first note outside the cave, another behind a tree, one inside a hut and the fourth reached by climbing and crossing above them. Return to Ilya.
- Catch Kitsura for YumiTake Yumi’s follow-up and catch the requested Wondrous Kitsura. The recording reports level 46 for this stage. Keep rare garden catches until the active objective is finished.
- Read the graffiti and reach the next gateAt level 50, visit the graffiti location shown by the route and read it. The quest then points toward Ico after the next level requirement; the recording reports 52.
- Bring Ico a PetaldrakeCatch a Petaldrake, the location’s Fabled species, and give it to Ico. Do not sell it while this hand-in is active.
- Finish Sorin’s trialUse speed boots to run to the pedestal and follow the portal as it opens. The portal direction changes in the recording, so move toward the visible opening rather than memorising a fixed direction. Return to Ico after completing the trial.
